€44,000 has been provided to help alleviate flooding in Tralee.
Kerry TD Arthur Spring
The money has been allocated to Kerry County Council under the Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.

It follows an application from the council to the Office of Public Works for funding to remove debris and sediment under bridges and weirs and associated works in Tralee.

There’ll also be a structural survey and an inspection of bypass culverts.

Deputy Arthur Spring has welcomed the announcement saying the investment is essential especially in the wake of flooding incidents in the past.
