Construction Industry Federation€135 million was spent in Kerry last year on home improvements, repairs and maintenance.

Analysis by the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) shows that Kerry homeowners spent a total of €12.5m on 989 projects, fuelled in part by the Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) introduced by the Government in 2013.

The average spend was over €12,600 (€12,649) per project by homeowners carrying out minor home renovations and energy upgrades.

Nationally, the figure was over €4.2bn, or 34 percent of the €12.5bn construction industry.
