There’s been a drop in the number of people on waiting lists for inpatient and day cases at University Hospital Kerry.

According to figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund, as of the end of April, there are 103 people waiting, compared to 121 a month ago.
Kerry has one of the shorter waiting lists among hospitals across the country.

University Hospital Kerry has one the lowest numbers of people on waiting lists, according to the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
There are 103 patients waiting for inpatient and day cases at the Tralee hospital.
The majority, 93, are on the list for up to three months; nine are waiting between three and six months, and one person between six and nine months; no one is waiting over a year.
At other hospitals serving the Kerry region, there are 3,071 patients waiting for inpatient and day cases at University Hospital Limerick, while there are 1,748 on the list at Cork University Hospital.
