An appeal has been made to accommodation providers around Kerry as an extended and expanded Rose of Tralee Festival promises to bring double the number of visitors to Tralee this year.
The festival is preparing to welcome 67 Roses and their escorts, families, friends and well-wishers – a marked increase from 32 Roses last year.
This is as a consequence of the discontinuation of the regional final heats which will see all Roses selected travel to Tralee.
In addition the festival’s duration has been extended to an entire week.
Today, Tipperary Crystal was unveiled as the new lead sponsor of the International Rose of Tralee Festival.
Executive Chair Anthony O’Gara says visitor numbers to Tralee are expected to double this year.
