« BackDocumentary to be screened in new year on Kerry based artist

Work will continue on a documentary based on the artist who created a famous sculpture on the main Killarney to Cork road following a successful funding drive.

Southernman Films is producing the film called “Why is there anything instead of nothing” which is based on Tighe O’Donoghue Ross who made the horse sculpture “An Capall Mór” on the N22.

 

Tighe whose ancestors built Ross Castle in Killarney also sculpted the 16 foot statue of St Brendan in Fenit.

 

The artist who works in several mediums was born in New York and now lives in Glenflesk.

 

Filming is continuing with a premiere planned for Killarney in the New Year.
