That’s according to figures from the Courts Service for 2015, which show that couples waited up to seven weeks before their ready-to-begin, contested cases were listed before the court.

This is one of the shortest waiting times in the country, with just Limerick ahead on five weeks.

The circuit courts in Dundalk, Wexford, and Tullamore, cases can take up to a year to be heard.
