It’s for rent on Console House in the McAuley Centre, Balloonagh, Tralee.

The diocese says it’s given the details of the lease and arrears to Console’s head office.

Suicide charity Console reportedly owes €12,500 to the Diocese of Kerry for rent on Console House in the McAuley Centre, Balloonagh, Tralee.

This centre was opened in April 2013 as Ireland’s first suicide resource centre; it was refurbished and redeveloped with the help of Kerry Group, and last year it opened a Donal Walsh room for teenagers with funding from the #LiveLife Foundation.

In a statement to Radio Kerry, the Diocese of Kerry says the Console centre in Tralee was leased from the Mercy Sisters from 2012 to 2017, but this lease was transferred to the Diocese last December.

The Diocese says money is outstanding, and the details of the lease were supplied to Console’s head office last week.
