The chairman of the CYMS Hall in Killorglin is calling on the new government to scrap VAT on defibrillators.
The CYMS Hall has a defibrillator in the event of someone having a cardiac arrest.
The pads of the defibrillator have to be replaced once they are used.
Chairman of the Hall Pat Healy was shocked when he got the bill for replacing parts of their defibrillator and new batteries.
The amount of VAT that had to be paid for the repairs was 23%, Pat wants the new Government to reduce or axe the VAT.
