The crowning of the new Rose of Tralee, drew a peak of 760,300 viewers as the audience tuned in to see an overjoyed Meath Rose, Elysha Brennan, named the 57th Rose of Tralee.
Over the two days a reach of over 1.7 million people tuned in to watch live selections which represents 42% of all Irish viewers.
Last night’s second part of the programme has ranked as ninth in the Top Ten programmes across all channels for the year to date.
The second night of the Rose of Tralee, presented by Dáithí O Sé, proved to be another ratings success when an average audience of over 650,000 tuned in after RTE One’s Nine O’ Clock news.
This was a slight decrease on 2014, when 694,000 tuned in for the second half of the programme.
Once again the Rose of Tralee Festival was streamed live.
A total of 72,000 streams have been recorded to date, with 35,000 of these being from the live online simulcasts on both nights.
There was also a large amount of international interest in the festival, with close to 52% of the live streams delivered outside of Ireland.
