A Fine Gael councillor has warned that services will have to be cut if there is a drop in Property Tax in Kerry.
Cllr Jim Finucane says although nobody wants to see a hike in the tax, Kerry County Council needs the funding to progress projects in the county. Members of the public have until August 31 to make a submission to the local authority. Last year, members voted to keep the tax at its current rate. Cllr Finucane says there were over 400 submissions made last year and the majority of these were in favour of a lowering of the tax.
