« BackCouncillor calls on County Board to explain decision not to host minor team homecoming

rk-minorsListowel Cllr Mike Kennelly has called on the County Board of the GAA to explain its decision not to hold a homecoming event for the three in a row All -Ireland winning Kerry minor team.

There was widespread criticism yesterday of the board’s decision not to hold any event to mark the team’s return to Kerry.

The team are to be recognised during the County Championship double header which will take place on October 2nd.

Cllr Kennelly, who has proposed a civic reception for the players and their management, says the young players deserved to be recognised at a homecoming in Kerry.

He has called on the County Board to explain their decision to Kerry supporters.
