« BackCouncil to seek meeting with UHK about parking charges

University Hospital Kerry3Kerry County Council is to seek a meeting with University Hospital Kerry about parking charges on the hospital grounds.

Fianna Fáil Cllr John Francis Flynn raised the issue at the recent monthly meeting of the council.

He called on the Minister for Health Simon Harris to change the free parking at UHK from 20 minutes to at least 45 minutes.

Sinn Féin Cllr Pa Daly supported the motion, saying the high cost of parking at the hospital was having a knock on effect on residents in Marian Park.

Cllr Toireasa Ferris said the council had been due to meet with the former General Manager of the hospital prior to his departure, so the council agreed to write and seek a meeting on the issue with the new GM.
