« BackCouncil to ask if field at St Brendan’s College can be used for parking

Kerry Independent Alliance Councillor Michael Gleeson says the town has been at full capacity in terms of parking in recent weeks, and says it’s hugely important that Killarney be able to welcome all visitors.

He raised the issue at the recent meeting of Killarney Municipal District, and called on the council to ask St Brendan’s College if the field adjacent to the Port Road could be made available for car parking during the summer; the council is now to write to St Brendan’s Trust.

Councillor Gleeson says the field has been used for parking in the past, and adds that plastic covering could protect the ground.
