« BackCouncil praises Irish Water for funding €30 million Kerry scheme

Irish WaterThe director of services for water at Kerry County Council has praised Irish Water for investing 30 million euro in a scheme that serves more than 60,000 people in the county.

Last week, the water utility announced it was to carry out a major investment in the Kerry Central Regional Supply.

This includes the construction of a new water treatment plant at Lough Guitane.

Oliver Ring is the director of services at Kerry County Council.

He says although there is uncertainty over the future of Irish Water, work on the project will go ahead  as contracts have been signed.
