Councillors in the municipal districts have approved the programme of works for each area, which takes in €6.9 million in restoration improvements and €1.9 million in maintenance.
Under the improvement programme, €1.4 million is going to 16 roads in Killarney Municipal District; the same amount will cover 11 roads in the Listowel MD, including €233,000 for the Doon Road, Ballybunion.
The Tralee MD is to get €1.1 million for 21 roads, including €95,000 for Upper Rock Street to St Brendan’s Park.
11 roads in the Dingle area will benefit from a total of €744,000, while €727,000 will fund eight roads in the Caherciveen area including €146,000 on the N70 Spunkane to Waterville road.
In Kenmare five roads will receive a total of €707,000 including €251,000 for Rossacroonaloo, while €653,000 will be spent on six roads in Killorglin.
Under the maintenance programme, €383,000 is going to the Listowel area, €360,000 to Killarney, €282,000 to Tralee, €245,000 to Caherciveen, €205,000 for Dingle, €195,000 for Kenmare, and €180,000 for Killorglin.
