Kerry County Council is advising people to stay away from exposed coasts in the county this afternoon following the issuing of an Orange Weather Warning for counties including Kerry.
Met Éireann is forecasting wind speeds of up to 75 km/hr and gusts of 120 km/hr in places.
The warning is valid until 6pm this evening.
Kerry County Council is advising property owners to ensure that bins and loose objects such as hoardings and signage are secured or removed.
It also advises motorists to exercise extreme caution on our roads this afternoon.
