A contractor has been appointed for the new IDA facility in Tralee.
The new building will be located in the Kerry Technology Park.
In March, Kerry County Council granted planning permission for the 20-million-euro development which was announced in February 2015 as part of a national 200-million-euro investment plan.
Contracts were signed in recent days for IDA Ireland’s new Advance Technology Building in Tralee’s Kerry Technology Park.
Eamon Costello (Kerry) Limited will now proceed to build the 2,322 square metre building on the one-hectare site.
IDA has agreed terms with Shannon Commercial Properties for the acquisition of the site.
The building is expected to be completed in nine months.
The facility is capable of being expanded 100 per cent to meet future client growth requirements.
The building will include office space over two floors and high-tech manufacturing space in line with the current needs of Foreign Direct Investment client companies.
