« BackClune calls on Volkswagen to pay compensation to its Irish customers

deirdre_clune_4_site-211x300Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune has called on Volkswagen to compensate its Irish customers who have been effected by the emissions scandal.

Ms Clune, a member of the EU Transport committee, has urged the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission to conclude its investigation into Volkswagen Ireland.

The Fine Gael MEP was recently appointed a member of the Commission of Inquiry into the Volkswagen emissions scandal.

She says the car manufacturer cheated its customers and must now make amends by agreeing a package of compensatory measures.
