Councillors from Cork and Kerry should join forces to get the Macroom Bypass built.
That’s according to Independent Cork Councillor Declan Hurley.
The comments follow the revelation at a meeting between Cork County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland that the Macroom Bypass would not be built until 2022 at the earliest.
The bypass, which is seen a vital piece of infrastructure to Kerry, is included in the Government’s Capital Investment Programme for 2016 to 2021.
