« BackClaims that more should be done to attract hi-tech industries to Kerry

Sean CounihanThe chairman of an enterprise incubation centre says more should be done to attract more hi-tech industries to Kerry.

The former Killarney Town Council allowed Killarney Technology Innovation Centre permission to develop part of the vacant Pretty Polly site.

However, the centre’s chairman Sean Counihan says there’s been no movement on this since Kerry County Council took over from the town council.

He says the two acre site which once housed the Pretty Polly and Sara Lee factories has great potential.

Mr Counihan says in Dublin, there’s a shortage of office space, development land and housing – all of which Kerry has in abundance.
