« BackClaim North Kerry is left off Wild Atlantic Way signage

Wild Atlantic WayIt’s being claimed North Kerry, particularly Ballybunion, is being left off Wild Atlantic Way signage.

That’s according to Listowel Municipal District Councillor Aoife Thornton, who raised the issue at their recent monthly meeting.

She says South and West Kerry are well signed as Wild Atlantic Way destinations, however North Kerry locations including Ballybunion and Ballyheigue don’t feature on signposts.

She wants Kerry County Council to write to all the relevant bodies concerned, including Transport Infrastructure Ireland who deal with national roads.

Cllr Thornton and the other Listowel Municipal District members have identified a number of locations where signage directing traffic towards North Kerry can be improved, including from Shannon Airport, as well as Limerick and Dublin.
