« BackCirculatory system diseases leading cause of death in Kerry

CSODiseases of the circulatory system were the leading cause of death in Kerry in the first three months of the year.

That’s according to the Central Statistics Office which states that 330 deaths were recorded from January to March in the county.

166 men and 164 women died over the period giving a death rate of 9.1.

108 died from diseases of the circulatory system, 71 from cancer, 45 from respiratory diseases, 14 from external causes and 92 died from other causes.

One infant death was recorded.
