« BackCheltenham of horse and pony racing to get underway in Dingle this evening

The Cheltenham of the Horse and Pony racing calendar, the Dingle Races, gets underway this evening.

Hundreds of competitors from the four horse and pony racing associations will converge in Ballintaggart for this evening’s meet.

Racing will take place at the course over the weekend, culminating in the high stakes Dawn Milk Dingle Derby on Sunday.

According to veteran commentator Thomas Callaghan, top Kerry jockeys such as Jack Kennedy and Bryan Cooper – who won the Cheltenham Gold Cup this year on Don Cossack – plied their trade at Dingle Races.
