It’s reported the suicide charity Console owes €12,500 to the Diocese of Kerry for rent for a centre in Tralee.
Console open Ireland’s first suicide resource centre at the McAuley Centre, Balloonagh in April 2013.
The facility was acquired by the charity from the Sisters of Mercy.
The centre provides a range of community-based supports, services, and resources for those affected by, or at risk of suicide.
It’s believed the office of the Bishop of Kerry, Ray Browne contacted Console about the issue earlier this month, however the Bishop or Diocese have yet to make a statement on the matter.
