The CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance admits Tralee still has a long way to go before it can become a bustling tourist town like Killarney.
Kieran Routledge says Tralee doesn’t have the infrastructure Killarney has, such as the INEC, nor does it have the bed capacity.
He says however that they’re trying to build on their tourist product; they’re running more festivals and events, and there are a lot more things going on in Tralee now than five years ago.
He also says they can see the tourist sector growing, with investment in hotels and other facilities.
The Chamber Alliance CEO says Tralee still has a way to go, but they need more people to come forward to help promote the town.
