The 65 year old man, who was married and the father of two children, died as a result of an incident involving a tractor on his farm in Ballylongford at around 9.30 yesterday morning.
Emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Health and Safety Authority is conducting an investigation.
It’s the fourth fatality on Irish farms in 2016, and the third involving machinery.
Chair of the IFA in Kerry Sean Brosnan has offered his sympathies to the man’s family.
