The Chair of IT Tralee branch of the TUI says no definite timeline for any further industrial action has been set out.
The comments come as around 4,000 lecturers are on strike today at Institutes of Technology around the country.
It’s as the row over cutbacks and staffing levels escalates; the union says funding to third level has been cut by 30 per cent.
The TUI says the number of students has increased by 22 thousand since 2008 – while the number of lecturing positions has fallen by 550.
