A Kerry man who campaigned for the opening of a dedicated cystic fibrosis unit at Cork University Hospital says an investigation into repeated delays with the project is now required.
The specialist isolation ward opened on Sunday after a ten year campaign.
Founder of Build4Life Joe Browne – who spearheaded the fundraising drive – says the development is welcome and removes the risk of cross-infection which CF patients were exposed to previously.
