Iarnród Éireann is to host a special event at Casement Station in Tralee this morning to remember Roger Casement.
The Station was renamed after him in 1966.
The Mayor of Tralee, Cllr. Tom McAllistrim will attend and address the event which starts at 11.
Historian Angus Mitchell will speak about the life of Roger Casement and also the events that led up to the 1916 Rising.
Children from Knockaderry N.S., Farranfore will provide the music and pupils from Mercy Primary School, Moyderwell, will perform in period dress.
A wreath will be laid in memory of Roger Casement. Members of the public have been invited to attend.
