« BackCaution advised on the roads as Met Eireann issues orange rainfall warning for Kerry

Motorists are being asked to drive with extreme care after two weather warnings were issued by Met Eireann.
An Orange Rainfall Warning is in place for Kerry, while a Yellow Rainfall Warning is covering Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork and Limerick.

Heavy rain tonight and tomorrow is predicted with accumulations of 50-70mm possible.
Kerry County Council says given the heavy rainfall experienced on Friday, drainage system and rivers may be at risk of exceeding capacity.

Property owners, particularly in areas that may have been prone to flooding damage in the past, are advised to take appropriate measures to minimise the risk of damage to their property.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution on the roads.
