« BackCastleisland solicitor jailed for forgery is struck off the roll of solicitors

Law Society of IrelandA Castleisland solicitor, who was jailed for forgery, has been struck off.
Patrick Enright of Glenlarehan, Castleisland was jailed for a year in 2013 after pleading guilty to forging health insurance documents.
The Law Society then sought an order to have him struck off the roll of solicitors, and this happened in the  High Court yesterday.

Fifty-four (54) year old Patrick Enright of Glenlarehan, Castleisland was jailed for a year in 2013 after pleading guilty to forging health insurance documents in 1994.
It happened in Nylerin, a Castleisland based company which processed claims for New York Life Insurance – an American company providing medical insurance; Patrick Enright worked as an assistant manager there.
His brother Denis Enright was also given a one year suspended sentence at the same time, having also pleaded guilty to forgery.
The Law Society then sought an order to have Castleisland solicitor Patrick Enright struck off.
The case came before the High Court yesterday, where Mr Justice Peter Kelly struck him off the roll of solicitors to maintain the reputation of the solicitors’ profession.
