A housing estate roadway in the Killarney Municipal District has been officially taken-in-charge by Kerry County Council.
Public notice of the Council’s intention to declare the roadway – at Kilbannivane, Castleisland – as public was advertised last April and submissions invited.
The report to the Killarney Municipal District in accordance with Section 11 of the Roads Act 1993 recommended a housing estate road at Kilbannivane, Castleisland, be taken in charge by the Council.
Today’s meeting of Killarney Municipal District heard the total length of road to be taken in charge is 212 metres.
The section in question is from its junction with the L-2030 to all terminal points within the estate at Kilbannivane, serving eight houses.
A notice of intention to declare the road as a public road appeared in local press on April 20th.
No objections or observations were received within the prescribed period.
Council members today agreed at the meeting of Killarney Municipal District the section of road be declared public with immediate effect.
