Businesses gave over €200,000 to community groups and organisations in Kerry last year.
That’s according to statistics from Business in the Community Ireland, the country’s leading organisation on corporate responsibility and the only network for responsible business practices.
The figures show that 19 companies contributed over €218,000 to address social issues and causes in Kerry during 2015.
Employees volunteered 1,365 hours to local groups and projects in the county, and over 170 community partnerships were established.
Some of the companies who made an impact in Kerry were Bank of Ireland Group, ESB Group, and Tesco Ireland.
