« BackBrendan Kennelly bust to be unveiled in Ballylongford

One of Kerry’s most renowned literary figures is to be honoured in home town this evening.

A bust of the poet and novelist, Brendan Kennelly, will be unveiled in the church grounds in Ballylongford at 7.30pm.
The tribute to the the former Professor of Modern Literature at Trinity College Dublin will be attended by Minister of State Jimmy Deenihan as well as number of literary figures from north Kerry.
Tarbert native and former Professor of Education at NUI Maynooth, John Coolahan will speak about Kennelly’s contribution to education.
