BirdWatch Ireland alleges it was never consulted.

The Sunday Times says that Eir insists it adhered to Irish Aviation Authority regulations.

According to the newspaper, these regulations require those who use drones for commercial purposes to get an an ‘aerial works permission.’

Dr Steve Newton is with BirdWatch Ireland.

He says up to 100 thousand gannets could be on Little Skellig island during breeding season.
