11am – Recreational walkers are out in force in this weekend around the county. In Killarney, the Irish Country Rambles group is organising two guided walks at different levels – a mountain trek on Mangerton and Stoompa and a woodland walk between Mangerton and Torc mountains. Meanwhile Sneem is hosting the Geofest Walking Festival this weekend with walks around Lough Duff and Lomanagh today and an historical village walk tomorrow. Other bank holiday celebrations include the Hallowe’een Howl in Kenmare, which has a full programme of family events, and the Knocknagoshel Hallowe’een Festival, the highlight of which is this evening’s ghost trail.
