The musician whose band backed Daniel O’Donnell during his performance in the Dome at the Rose of Tralee on Tuesday night has rejected suggestions that the singer was out of tune.
John Connolly from Banna, whose band, provided the music for the Donegal singer, says Daniel O’Donnell is a professional without peer in his genre.
Mr O’Donnell peformed a medley of songs during an interval in the Dome with some criticism that he was not in tune with the music.
Speaking to Jerry O’Sullivan on Kerry Today earlier, Mr Connolly says they were happy with the performance:
