« BackAverage asking price for houses in Kerry jumps by nine per cent

The average asking price for a house in Kerry has increased by almost nine per cent in a year.

That’s according to property website Daft.ie.

The survey shows in the final three months of 2015 the average asking price for a house in Kerry was 156,423 euro.

That was a decline of almost three per cent on the previous quarter but a jump of over 11 per cent from the lowest point.

All house types see an increase in average asking prices over the past year ranging from eight to 16 per cent.

The average asking price for a two bedroom terrace house is 66,000 euro, it’s 99,000 euro for a three bed semi detached house and 202,000 euro for a four bed bungalow.

233,000 euro is the average for a five bed detached house.

However the asking price for a one bed apartment in the county dropped 11 per cent in a year to 50,000 euro.
