« BackAustrian tour operators and media visit Kerry

A group of Austrian tour operators and media have visited Kerry.

This trip is just one of a number of events designed, hosted and managed by Fáilte Ireland, in collaboration with Tourism Ireland, to help increase visitor numbers into the region. Fáilte Ireland designed a bespoke itinerary for the group where they checked into the Dingle Skellig Hotel, spent time visiting the Blasket Island Centre, the Gallarus Oratory Visitor Centre, get a cookery demonstration and lunch at the Dingle Cookery School, sample tasting and tour of the Dingle Distillery before heading to Killarney where they stay at the Killarney Park Hotel this evening. The visit, which was oganised by Failte Ireland in collaboration with Tourism Ireland, is aimed at increasing visitors to the region.

During their time in Kerry they visited the Blasket Island Centre, Gallarus Oratory Visitor Centre, Dingle Cookery School and Dingle Distillery.

The group also spent time in Killarney staying at the Killarney Park Hotel and visting Ross Castle, the National Park and Killarney House.

Its estimated that nearly 70,000 Austrian tourists visited Ireland in 2015.
