A number of people have died in a fire in Carrickmines in South Dublin.
The blaze broke out at a halting site in the early hours of this morning.
4 people including a child and a baby were taken to hospital.
The fire on the Glenamuck road in Carrickmines broke out at around 4 o’clock this morning.
It’s believed that a number of people have died, and are believed to be from the same family.
4 people including a child and a baby were taken to hospital St Vincents and Tallaght Hospitals for treatment for smoke inhalation.
It’s reported that 20 members of the same family were living on the halting site, which had around 6 modular homes for accomodation.
A number of ambulances attended the scene, and 6 units of the Dublin Fire Brigade are still takling the blaze.
A Garda Technical exam of the scene is due to take place this morning.
