Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government Simon Coveney outlined the amounts collected by each individual local authority in 2015 and 2016 in response to a query posed by Fianna Fáil TD Barry Cowen.

Almost €24 million was collected in Limerick City and county in the same period.

Meanwhile €67.5 million was collected by local authorities in Cork since 2015.
