« BackAgriculture Minister welcomes IFA President decision to step back

The Agriculture Minister has welcomed Eddie Downey’s decision to step back from his role as IFA President.

Simon Coveney says it was the right decision to make as a review of pay and pensions for top level IFA members gets underway.
Last night the Association revealed Mr Downey was paid 147,000 euro a year, while the Deputy President Tim O’Leary is paid 35,000 euro.
