The European Union’s tax ruling on Apple’s operations in Ireland, could shorten the life-span of the Government.
That’s according the Sinn Féin Councillor Toireasa Ferris who says the position of some independents – who currently support Government – may become untenable.
This, she says, could lead to a withdrawal of support:
The Tralee councillor is calling for an inquiry – not just into Apple’s tax dealings with Ireland, but other global tech companies operating here.
She says these ‘sweet deals’ need scrutiny.
