Ninety-three debt solutions have been approved for people in Kerry.
That’s according to the latest report from the Insolvency Service of Ireland.
The Insolvency Service of Ireland’s Quarter 3 Statistical Report for 2016 reveals that in Kerry there were 93 debt solutions approved from the start of 2014 to the end of September this year.
That represents a rate of 8.4 debt solutions per 10,000 adults in Kerry.
Of those, 69 were insolvency arrangements; that’s Debt Relief Notices, Debt Settlement Arrangements, and Personal Insolvency Arrangements approved by creditors and/or courts.
That’s a rate of 6.2 arrangements per 10,000 adults in Kerry.
The rest, 24, were bankruptcies in Kerry between Q1 2014 to Q3 2016; that’s 2.2 bankruptcies per 10,000 adults in Kerry.
