University Hospital Kerry3There’s been a 76 per cent increase in the number of people waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Kerry since 2014.
That’s according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s trolley watch figures.
They show that between January and April, 526 people were waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department and on wards in University Hospital Kerry – that’s up 76 per cent in the past two years.
The INMO is holding its annual conference in the INEC in Killarney, and General Secretary Liam Doran says he’s deeply saddened that Irish Water seems to be more of a priority in the government formation talks, rather than the health service.
