The number of people in possession of a medical card in Kerry is now just over 58,000 (FOR WEB: 58,224)
That’s 40 percent of the population of the county.
Meanwhile, almost 13,000 people in the county (FOR WEB: 12,729) now hold a GP visit card which covers the cost of visits to a doctor only.
The figures were made available to Radio Kerry News by the Health Services Executive.
