Donal Corcoran RenuaNew figures show there were 633 bench warrants awaiting execution in the Kerry Garda Division at the end of last year. Kerry ranked tenth highest for the numbers awaiting execution out of 28 garda divisions nationwide. The figures were released to Deputy Lucinda Creighton, leader of Renua Ireland. They represent the total number of outstanding bench warrants on November 25th last. Donal Corcoran who is Renua’s candidate in Kerry for the general election says the figure is very high given the county’s overall population. He says it may not be feasible to reopen garda stations given the costs involved. However, he says there are other ways of increasing garda presence in communities. [audio_player src=””]
