The Department of Education is to set up a new regional office to cater for people in Kerry and Cork. Its part of a process of engagement with local communities and will open on Monday next. The office will be a single point of contact for information and advice on education services available in Kerry as well as somewhere to go for those who are concerned about issues of educational disadvantage.Personnel from the new office will also represent the Department of Education on County Development Boards and monitor the delivery of area plans in the county. The regional office will be located in Mahon in Cork.
