National Library Conference to be held in Killarney this week

The National Library Conference will take place at the Malton Hotel in Killarney this week from the 13th to 15th April. college library books student from Pixabay The theme of the event, which is taking place from today to Friday, is ‘Survive and Thrive: Strategies for Success’. The conference will be hosted jointly by the Library Association of Ireland (LAI) and the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). Sessions will include strategic planning and advocacy for libraries of all types plus a presentation on the leading joint-use library in the UK and Ireland. Smaller scale learning sessions and workshops will cover the recognition of CPD activities, marketing, how to make an impact and get published, and a shared library management system. Nearly 20 exhibitors will be on hand to display and demonstrate a range of library supplies.
