Kerry is featuring strongly in National Geographic Magazine’s Top 10 Things to Do in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The list tells readers to drive the Wild Atlantic Way, play a links course at Ballybunion and Waterville Golf Clubs and explore the Dingle peninsula with its boat trips to the Blasket Islands. Tourists are encouraged to get active in Killarney National Park with Muckross House and Ross Castle, and take in the lake vista from Ladies View. While in the magazine’s Top 10 Things to Eat and Drink – tourists are urged to sample local Kerry shellfish such as Portmagee crab claws and Cromane mussels at the Bridge Bar near the Moorings, Portmagee. Miss Courtney’s Tearooms in Killarney gets a mention on the list along with Dingle Distillery’s original gin which won a gold medal in the 2013 Irish Food Awards.
